We are food and travel writers who have been immersed in the culinary scene of France for nearly two decades, writing about the food, the wine, the people. We founded Voconces Culinary to allow us to pursue our interests in cooking, eating, drinking, Paris, Provence, and even food retailing. And to share what we discover with readers.

Recently, we spent a full year researching and collecting the information for Chasing Stars, including two months in France visiting one-star restaurants, interviewing the chefs, eating the food and drinking the wine. That’s the length we’re willing to go to for our readers.

 

Our other books include The Paris Gourmet Food Guide and The Planet Organic Market Cookbook. Mark is also an award-winning photographer.

 

Our love of food goes back quite a ways, to the time we transformed one of Canada's earliest natural food cooperatives into the country's largest organic grocery chain, Planet Organic Markets

 

Today we spend our time traveling and writing about France, food and fun! When we’re not in France we can be found on Vancouver Island, where we live with our son and reluctant traveler, Alexandre.
